فيما يسود الجمود والتصريحات المتضاربة حول سير المفاوضات بين واشنطن وطهران، واكتنف الغموض تطور المحادثات، اعتبر المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية إسماعيل بقائي أن المشكلة الرئيسية لبلاده في التفاوض مع الولايات المتحدة تتمثل في «تغيّر المواقف الأمريكية وتناقضها».

وقال في مقابلة مع شبكة CNN من طهران، اليوم (الأحد)، إن المشكلة الأساسية في التفاوض مع هذه الإدارة أنك تواجه الكثير من المواقف المتغيرة، وتحريك الأهداف باستمرار، وتصريحات مختلفة ومتناقضة من مسؤولين متعددين، ما يجعل العملية برمتها شديدة التعقيد.

وكشف وجود عدة نقاط خلاف، معتبراً أن القضية الأساسية هي أن الأمريكيين يجب أن يفهموا أنهم مطالبون بالاعتراف بحقوق إيران، بما في ذلك حقها في التخصيب النووي السلمي، بموجب معاهدة عدم الانتشار النووي.

وأضاف: «عندما يتحدثون عن أصولنا المجمدة، فهم لا ينوون تقديم أي تنازل».

ودعا بقائي الولايات المتحدة أن توقف العقوبات، مضيفاً: «فيما يتعلق بالعقوبات والأصول المجمدة، عليهم فقط السماح بالإفراج عن الأصول الإيرانية وإتاحتها للإيرانيين».

وتطالب طهران الولايات المتحدة بالموافقة على الإفراج عن مليارات الدولارات من الأصول الإيرانية المجمدة في بنوك أجنبية.

وأفاد بأن الولايات المتحدة هاجمت سفن إيران التجارية، سواء في مضيق هرمز، أو في أعالي البحار. ووصف الوضع بأنه «شديد التقلب والخطورة». وأكد أن القوات المسلحة الإيرانية «مصممة على الرد بكل قوة على أي هجوم».

وكان وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي، التقى الأحد، وزير الداخلية الباكستاني محسن نقوي في طهران، وفق ما أوردت وسائل إعلام إيرانية.

وذكرت وكالة «تسنيم»، أن نقوي سلّم عراقجي رسالة خاصة من باكستان إلى المرشد الإيراني مجتبى خامنئي.

من جهته، وصف رئيس منظمة الطاقة الذرية الإيرانية محمد إسلامي الوضع في محطة بوشهر للطاقة النووية بأنه جيد، مؤكداً أنها لم تتوقف عن العمل بأي شكل من الأشكال.

ونقلت وكالة «تسنيم» الإيرانية، عن إسلامي قوله: «إن محطة بوشهر تعمل بشكل جيد»، زاعماً أنها «ضمن أفضل 10 محطات نووية في العالم، بعدما حصلت على تقييم بـ100 نقطة».

As stagnation and conflicting statements prevail regarding the negotiations between Washington and Tehran, and as ambiguity surrounds the development of the talks, the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Baqaei, considered that the main problem for his country in negotiating with the United States lies in the “changing and contradictory American positions.”

He stated in an interview with CNN from Tehran today (Sunday) that the fundamental issue in negotiating with this administration is that you face many changing positions, constantly shifting goals, and different and contradictory statements from multiple officials, which makes the entire process extremely complicated.

He revealed the existence of several points of contention, considering that the core issue is that the Americans must understand that they are required to recognize Iran’s rights, including its right to peaceful nuclear enrichment, under the Non-Proliferation Treaty.

He added: “When they talk about our frozen assets, they do not intend to make any concessions.”

Baqaei called on the United States to stop the sanctions, adding: “Regarding the sanctions and frozen assets, they just need to allow the release of Iranian assets and make them available to the Iranians.”

Tehran demands that the United States agree to release billions of dollars of Iranian assets frozen in foreign banks.

He reported that the United States has attacked Iranian commercial ships, whether in the Strait of Hormuz or in the high seas. He described the situation as “highly volatile and dangerous.” He affirmed that the Iranian armed forces are “determined to respond with full force to any attack.”

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met on Sunday with Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Tehran, according to Iranian media reports.

The Tasnim news agency reported that Naqvi delivered a special message from Pakistan to Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei.

For his part, the head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Eslami, described the situation at the Bushehr nuclear power plant as good, confirming that it has not stopped operating in any way.

The Tasnim news agency quoted Eslami as saying: “The Bushehr plant is operating well,” claiming that it is “among the top 10 nuclear power plants in the world, having received a score of 100 points.”
