بعد 3 أشهر من العلاج.. وفاة آخر المصابين من حريق طويق في الرياض – أخبار السعودية

عادت فاجعة حريق الأسرة في حي طويق بالرياض إلى الواجهة من جديد، بعد وفاة آخر المصابين بالحادثة المأساوية التي هزّت الرأي العام خلال عيد الفطر الماضي، إثر مضاعفات الحروق والإصابات البالغة التي تعرض لها جراء الحريق.

وتوفي الشاب عبدالعزيز العتيبي بعد رحلة علاج استمرت نحو ثلاثة أشهر في المستشفى، متأثراً بإصاباته الناتجة عن الحريق الذي اندلع في منزل الأسرة خلال عيد الفطر، وأسفر عن وفاة عدد من أفراد الأسرة وإصابة آخرين بحروق وإصابات خطيرة.

وأكد رب الأسرة ماجد العتيبي في تصريح لـ«عكاظ» وفاة نجله عبدالعزيز، مبيناً أنه كان آخر أفراد الأسرة المصابين الذين ظلوا يتلقون العلاج منذ وقوع الحادثة. وقال: «توفي ابني عبدالعزيز بعد معاناة مع الإصابة، وكان آخر من بقي في المستشفى من أفراد الأسرة المصابين، ليلحق بمن سبقوه من المتوفين متأثرين بإصاباتهم».

وخلال الأشهر الماضية، خضع عبدالعزيز لرعاية طبية مكثفة، فيما توفي عدد من أفراد الأسرة والمصابين تباعاً متأثرين بإصاباتهم، قبل أن يُعلن عن وفاته أول أمس، لتنتهي بذلك رحلة علاج استمرت منذ وقوع الحريق.

وبوفاة عبدالعزيز، تُطوى آخر فصول فاجعة طويق التي خلفت حالة واسعة من الحزن والتعاطف في المجتمع السعودي، بعد أن فقدت الأسرة عدداً من أفرادها في واحدة من أكثر الحوادث الإنسانية تأثيراً خلال الأشهر الماضية.

وكانت «عكاظ» قد انفردت سابقاً بنشر تفاصيل الحادثة عبر لقاء مؤثر مع رب الأسرة ماجد العتيبي، روى فيه لحظات اندلاع الحريق ومحاولاته إنقاذ أفراد أسرته وسط ألسنة اللهب وكثافة الدخان، في حادثة حظيت بتعاطف واسع على المستويين المحلي والخليجي.

Young Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi passed away after a treatment journey that lasted about three months in the hospital, affected by the injuries he sustained from the fire that broke out in the family’s home during Eid al-Fitr, which resulted in the death of several family members and left others with serious burns and injuries.

The head of the family, Majid Al-Otaibi, confirmed in a statement to “Okaz” the death of his son Abdulaziz, indicating that he was the last of the injured family members who continued to receive treatment since the incident occurred. He said: “My son Abdulaziz passed away after suffering from his injuries, and he was the last one remaining in the hospital among the injured family members, joining those who had preceded him in death due to their injuries.”

During the past months, Abdulaziz underwent intensive medical care, while several family members and other injured individuals passed away in succession due to their injuries, before his death was announced the day before yesterday, thus ending a treatment journey that lasted since the fire occurred.

With Abdulaziz’s death, the last chapter of the Tuwaiq tragedy closes, which left a widespread sense of sorrow and sympathy in Saudi society, after the family lost several of its members in one of the most impactful humanitarian incidents in recent months.

“Okaz” had previously exclusively published details of the incident through an emotional interview with the head of the family, Majid Al-Otaibi, in which he recounted the moments of the fire outbreak and his attempts to save his family members amidst the flames and thick smoke, in an incident that garnered widespread sympathy at both the local and Gulf levels.
