إنشاء خزن إستراتيجي طبي بدول التعاون لضمان استدامة الإمدادات – أخبار السعودية

كشف الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية جاسم البديوي، أن وزراء الصحة بدول المجلس ناقشوا خلال اجتماعهم، الذي عُقد عبر الاتصال المرئي، أمس، آليات تنفيذ توجيهات قادة دول المجلس الصادرة في لقائهم التشاوري الـ19 في جدة. وأشار البديوي إلى أن الوزراء أكدوا أهمية هذه المشاريع المستقبلية، التي تشمل إنشاء مناطق للخزن الإستراتيجي في دول المجلس للمستلزمات والأدوية والمواد الطبية، بما يضمن استدامة سلاسل الإمداد واستمراريتها في مختلف الظروف وحالات الطوارئ.

جاء ذلك خلال الاجتماع الاستثنائي للجنة وزراء الصحة بدول مجلس التعاون، الذي عُقد برئاسة وزيرة الصحة في مملكة البحرين ورئيسة الدورة الحالية الدكتورة جليلة السيد جواد حسن.

وبيّن الأمين العام أن الاجتماع شهد مباركة الخطوات الأولية التي اتخذتها الأمانة العامة للشروع في تنفيذ التوجيهات، إضافة إلى بحث الخطوات المبدئية للتخطيط لتنفيذ المشاريع الصحية المشتركة على أرض الواقع، بما يعزز الجاهزية الطبية الخليجية في مواجهة الأزمات والكوارث.

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Al-Budaiwi, revealed that the health ministers of the member states discussed during their meeting, which was held via video conference yesterday, the mechanisms for implementing the directives of the leaders of the member states issued during their 19th consultative meeting in Jeddah. Al-Budaiwi pointed out that the ministers emphasized the importance of these future projects, which include the establishment of strategic storage areas in the member states for supplies, medicines, and medical materials, ensuring the sustainability of supply chains and their continuity in various circumstances and emergencies.

This came during the extraordinary meeting of the Health Ministers Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which was chaired by the Minister of Health of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the current session president, Dr. Jaleela Sayed Jawad Hassan.

The Secretary-General indicated that the meeting witnessed the endorsement of the initial steps taken by the General Secretariat to begin implementing the directives, in addition to discussing the preliminary steps for planning the implementation of joint health projects on the ground, which enhances Gulf medical readiness in facing crises and disasters.
