عون: الفتنة من الماضي.. وانقسام الجيش «وهم» – أخبار السعودية

جدّد الرئيس اللبناني جوزيف عون، التأكيد على أن ما تم التوصل إليه مع إسرائيل «إطار وليس اتفاقاً»،لافتا إلى أنه منفتح على أي بديل يحقق السلام ويُنهي الحروب.

وقال أمام زواره، اليوم (الأحد): «يلومني البعض على هذا الإطار، وأنا أقول لهم يمكنني أن أبقى في قصر بعبدا ولا أبالي بأيّ اتفاق، ولكن هل أترك شعبي يموت؟ وهل أتفرج على هذه الحروب والإسنادات وكل ما يحصل من خراب ودمار؟».

وشدّد عون على أن الجيش اللبناني متماسك، ولا يمكن الرهان على انقسامه. مؤكداً أن الجيش يقوم بواجباته في مكافحة المخدرات، وحفظ الأمن في الجنوب وبيروت، وتأمين الاستقرار رغم الظروف الصعبة.

وأضاف: «ليس في إمكان أحد أن يراهن على انقسام الجيش، فهذه أحلام. الجيش لكل اللبنانيين، ويحفظ الأمن والاستقرار، وسيبقى».

ورداً على الحديث عن احتمال وقوع فتنة داخلية، أكد أن «ذلك بات من الماضي، ولا أحد قادر على إعادة الحرب الأهلية وعقارب الساعة إلى الوراء، وهناك الجيش اللبناني الضامن للسلم الأهلي».

وفي ما يتعلق بالزيارة المرتقبة إلى الولايات المتحدة، أفاد عون بأن الزيارة قائمة، لكنه ينتظر لقاء السفير الأمريكي لبحث مختلف الملفات، ومنها زيارة واشنطن.

وأشاد بدور رئيس مجلس النواب نبيه بري في منع الفتنة، مؤكداً أنه يقف إلى جانبه في هذا المسار، وأثنى على أداء الوفدين الدبلوماسي والأمني في المفاوضات، معتبراً أنهما «كانا رائعين جداً ووقفا بوجه المفاوض الإسرائيلي»، وأضاف: «لا أحد يزايد علينا في السيادة والاستقلال للبنان وتراب الجنوب».

وأكد عون أن لبنان «لن يقبل أن تبقى إسرائيل في لبنان على الإطلاق»، داعياً إلى إعطاء الفرصة لهذا الإطار. وقال: «دعونا نجرب ونصل إلى نتيجة، وبعدها يُبنى على الشيء مقتضاه. أما أن نعارض من دون أن يكون هناك بديل وتستمر الحروب، فلن أقبل بذلك».

وأعلن تمسكه بخطاب القسم والدستور، قائلاً: «لن أسمح بأن يبقى لبنان ينتظر حروب الآخرين على أرضه وسياسة المحاور. زمن المسايرة ولّى، ولن أساير، بل أعمل لكل اللبنانيين، وأنا ضنين بهم جميعاً، ولن أميّز بين لبناني وآخر».

The Lebanese President Joseph Aoun reiterated that what has been reached with Israel is “a framework, not an agreement,” noting that he is open to any alternative that achieves peace and ends wars.

He said in front of his visitors today (Sunday): “Some blame me for this framework, and I tell them I could stay in the Baabda Palace and not care about any agreement, but should I let my people die? Should I watch these wars and the devastation and destruction happening?”

Aoun emphasized that the Lebanese army is cohesive, and one cannot bet on its division. He affirmed that the army is fulfilling its duties in combating drugs, maintaining security in the south and Beirut, and ensuring stability despite the difficult circumstances.

He added: “No one can bet on the division of the army; these are dreams. The army belongs to all Lebanese, maintains security and stability, and will remain.”

In response to discussions about the possibility of internal strife, he confirmed that “that is now in the past, and no one can bring back the civil war and turn back the hands of the clock; the Lebanese army is the guarantor of civil peace.”

Regarding the upcoming visit to the United States, Aoun stated that the visit is on, but he is waiting to meet with the American ambassador to discuss various files, including the Washington visit.

He praised the role of Speaker Nabih Berri in preventing strife, affirming that he stands by him in this path, and commended the performance of the diplomatic and security delegations in the negotiations, considering that they “were very impressive and stood up to the Israeli negotiator,” adding: “No one can outbid us on the sovereignty and independence of Lebanon and the land of the south.”

Aoun confirmed that Lebanon “will not accept Israel to remain in Lebanon at all,” calling for giving this framework a chance. He said: “Let us try and reach a result, and then we can build on what follows. As for opposing without an alternative and continuing wars, I will not accept that.”

He announced his commitment to the oath of office and the constitution, stating: “I will not allow Lebanon to wait for the wars of others on its land and the politics of axes. The time for appeasement is over, and I will not appease; rather, I work for all Lebanese, and I care for all of them, and I will not distinguish between one Lebanese and another.”
